Pictures From a Hiroshima Schoolyard is a documentary focused around a set of old Japanese children's drawings found in the closet of a member of All Souls Church in Washington, DC in 1995. Current parishioners unearth the dramatic story behind the drawings and discover that they were drawn in 1947 by students of a school less than a half-mile from where the first atomic bomb in history was detonated. The children who made them (now in their late 70s) reflect on their early lives amidst the rubble of their decimated city and the hope they shared through their art. The pictures are restored and taken back to Japan where the are reunited with the artists and exhibited in the very building where they were created. Written by Anonymous

The Vow From Hiroshima is an intimate portrait of Setsuko Thurlow, a passionate, 85-year-old survivor of the atomic bomb in Hiroshima. Her moving story is told through the lens of her growing friendship with a second-generation survivor, Mitchie Takeuchi.

It's John's first day at school, and his big brother Mika shows up to follow him to assembly. Mika sees it as his mission to teach John the hard facts of the world, starting with the merciless demands of the schoolyard.

Thirty-eight years after the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, a boy is born with only a single day to live. Named "Hiroshima," he sets out into the city in search of his mother and encounters a young girl... An independently produced short film created from the desire to let the boys who perished in the atomic bombing see their mothers one last time. By placing the boy in the past and the girl in the present, the film expresses this heartfelt wish.

The film acquaints us with the work of the senior consultant of pavilion 11 in the Bohnice mental house who endeavours to build up a complex rahabilitation and re-socialising programme for patients with chronic mental illness. One part of her treatment programme is a week's stay outside the institution for selected patients. It is this week which is captured on film

Documentary by Andres Sööt about the years of 1996 and 1997. The film chronicle covering two years can be viewed as a continuation to Sööt's earlier films "Year of the Dragon" and "Year of the Horse". All three documentaries are the portraits of years, modelled by the director himself. There is neither a systematic nor exhaustive approach towards the selected times in history - what has been followed is the chronological order of events. Andres Sööt documents and comments both from a neutral as well as his personal point of view.

"You have to think about whether they're really your friends," Johnny's dad says when Johnny talks to him about the grief his pals have been giving him lately. The other boys haven't exactly tried to understand why Dad opened up his family's home to Miyeko, a survivor of the Hiroshima Atomic bomb. Although she is only in America a short time to have surgery on her badly scarred face and arm, her visit reveals just how many ignorant and intolerant attitudes still exist 10 years after the war's end. But Johnny, who also resents Miyeko at first, becomes one of her fiercest defenders after he makes the effort to look past her outward appearance. Only then can the scars begin to heal.

Hiroshima - Nagasaki 3min, sound, color Tsutomu Yamaguchi survived both the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. This film reflects on the voices of his daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandson as they pass down his testimony, alongside other double atomic bomb survivors sharing their own experiences. How can those of us who did not experience the bombing inherit and continue to pass on these memories? Intersecting with records of the Daigo Fukuryu Maru and Kochi tuna fishing boats exposed to fallout at Bikini Atoll, this work contemplates the future of remembering and storytelling.
